WELCOME!

St. John’s is an active, growing parish striving to follow the message of Christ and welcoming one and all who would join us in our worship and service. Our congregation is comprised of people from all walks of life and we value our diversity of experience and opinion as each of us navigates his/her personal spiritual journey.

St. John’s hosts two Sunday morning worship services with nursery services and youth Sunday school classes available during the 10:00 a.m. Eucharist. We also have a multitude of church-based and outreach ministries available for individuals of all ages looking for fellowship and volunteer opportunities.

While we hope you find this website useful, the best way to learn more about St. John’s is to visit so please join us soon for Sunday worship and/or one of our other upcoming events.

Ann BurtsSt. John's is presently staffed by it's Interim Rector, Ann Burts. She was educated and ordained in North Carolina. She has been serving churches in the Diocese of Maryland since being ordained in 1994. She served as an Associate at St. Anne's, Annapolis, for 12 years and then was the Interim Rector at All Hallow's, Davidsonville. Upon the completion of that interim, she did long-term supply for both St. David's, Roland Park, and St. John's, Mt. Washington as they completed interim periods. Ann and her husband live in Annapolis and are active in the Annapolis Chorale and Chamber Chorus. They have four grandchildren in the area and are enjoying their time here in Wake Forest.

Search Committee Prayer

Heavenly Father guide the congregation, Vestry and Search Committee of St. John's through the process of choosing our next Rector.  Help the Search Committee understand our congregation's needs, wants and dreams and your purpose for our church family.  Grant us the collective wisdom to find a leader to inspire us to walk in your way, a preacher to teach your word, a pastor to nourish the spiritual needs of your flock, and a shepherd    to nurture our stewardship of our many gifts.  Grant us grace to complete the task ahead.  All this we ask through your son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen
